Academic Journal: Call for Editors
Opportunity Detail
Re:Locations: Journal of the Asia-Pacific World (ISSN 2562-9972) would like to invite applications from undergraduate and graduate students for its Editorial Board. Re:Locations is an interdisciplinary peer-reviewed journal based out of the University of Toronto that seeks to publish work across different thematic areas of Asia-Pacific scholarship.
Detail Notes
Students from a variety of academic disciplines are encouraged to apply, however we are particularly interested in scholars who are working in/on non-Western centres and in research areas such as:
• critical engagement with geopolitics;
• politics of spatiality, networks, and scale;
• feminist, queer, and postcolonial interventions;
• intersections of political economy and political geography;
• political ecology, the politics of the environment, and post-human politics
This is an excellent opportunity for students to learn about academic publishing and the peer review process. Students may apply for the following posts:
Editors
Editors are responsible for reviewing and editing submissions for the Re:Locations online journal, which publishes visual, creative, and written work. Editors are also responsible for coordinating with the author to help prepare a publishable work.
Senior Editors
Senior Editors are responsible for selecting manuscripts worthy of publication in the graduate journal. Senior Editors are also responsible for finding appropriate peer-reviewers, copyediting manuscripts, and coordinating with the author to help prepare a publishable work. Prior academic editing experience is an advantage.
To apply, please email your CV and a brief cover letter to relocationsjournal@gmail.com. For further information, please contact relocationsjournal@gmail.com or visit our website at http://relocationsjournal.sa.utoronto.ca.
Deadline to apply: October 5, 2020
